If you are buying or leasing a building in historic downtown Elkin, the downtown merchants association helps promote your business, offers downtown bucks for special promotions, and organizes special events in the downtown (Cruise Ins and the Elkin/Jonesville Christmas Parade). 6. Elkin Main Street Advisory Board (MSAB)
Downtown Elkin is located within a Municipal Service District, and the Town has been a member of the North Carolina Main Street Program since 1998. With that come added benefits, a Main Street Manager, and advisory board that budgets for various types of improvements in downtown annually (including facade grants, and other funding offered thru NC Main Street). The MSAB and the Main Street Manager are here to help your business in many ways, and offer monthly updates to keep you informed as a downtown merchant.
