The line up of local musicians at our Saturday morning farmers market...

The 2023 outdoor Farmers Market season is open April 22nd thru end of October, from 9:00 am - noon. If you are a musician and are interested in playing at the summer market for fun and fame, contact Laura Gaylord, Town of Elkin, at 336-258-8908 to book a slot.

MONTHLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS:

Feb/March 2024

WINTER MARKET: The 2024 season reopens an indoor winter market February 11 thru April 15. The temporary location for the winter market is at the Heritage and Trails Center, 257 Standard St, downtown Elkin. Hours for the winter market this year are 9 am - noon. The musicians during this winter market schedule are booked directly thru the Surry County Farmers Market.

Check out Explore Elkin's '2nd Friday' feature event at the Farmers Market Shelter!

Staring in April, Food Truck Fridays are held (on the 2nd Friday of every month) all day long at the Market Shelter (101 E Market St), hosted by Explore Elkin. Stop by to eat from 11 am to 8pm, April thru November. LIVE MUSIC begins by 5:30 pm, ends at 8pm, along with the food truck service all day long. Bring your lawn chairs and relax in the evening. Adult beverages will also be for sale after 5pm till 8pm. FREE EVENT for all ages. ATM on site for food/beverage, if needed. (If you have purchased a cup in the past, please bring it each time you come so you don't have to re-purchase one for your adult beverage).

Winter Indoor Farmers Market

As temperatures cool, we move indoors, 2 blocks south to the Heritage & Trails Center at 257 Standard St.

November/December - We are open at Heritage Center lobby: Hours 9 - noon.

You can also find us set up during Light up Elkin (the first Friday night in December, on Main Street).

January - closed for R&R.

February - early April - Reopens indoors till early April, then later in April relocates back to the outdoor shelter.
