Selection Process Information

The Elkin Police Department provides supplemental training pertaining to agency policy and procedures. The probationary period for newly appointed personnel is one (1) one year, subject to extension in accordance with the Elkin Police Department Policy and Procedure. Thereafter the officer will be eligible for normal salary increases on an annual basis based on employee performance.
