Elkin City Schools has continuously provided excellent education to the residents of the special-charter city district, as Elkin citizens have always desired a locally controlled system.  The administration supports the needs of students and teachers as the school system converts to a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program at all levels (K-12).
